MAD MEDIA PRODUCES THE LARGEST OFF-ROAD RACE IN THE WORLD – THE 2012 GENERAL TIRE MINT 400

The 2012 General Tire Mint 400 was held March 21st – March 24th, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Over nine-hundred racers, spanning fourteen countries and three-hundred professional off-road race teams, competed in twenty classes of vehicles – and battled 400 miles of grueling Nevada desert!  The Mint 400 Facebook analytics show us that we reached 1.25 Million people over the weekend. That’s an amazing value for our sponsors and race teams and really proves that we are on the way to making this the most important annual race event in the world.

MAD MEDIA SPENDS 24 HOURS IN DAYTONA!

24 Hours of Daytona is the most unique, challenging, and prestigious race in America. It is a twenty-four hour non-stop marathon, run on a three and a half mile track that is one part NASCAR banked oval, and one part road course. It requires a team of as many as six highly skilled drivers to complete the circuit over 750 times, at speeds up to 200 miles per hour traveling twenty-seven hundred miles. Teams must pass thousands of competitor cars, all without error or mechanical failure, in order to reach the podium. Continental Tire tapped Mad Media to document the historic 2012 race, which marked the 50th anniversary. We spent a week in the pits, drivers meetings, practices sessions, and on the track itself capturing all twenty-four hours of the race action and mayhem that ensued. This summer, Mad Media and Continental Tire will present a very special one-hour documentary, that features intense racing action footage and interviews by the athletes, celebrities, and team owners who competed in this years event. This is a an unprecedented look into the the intense world of Grand-Am road racing though the lenses of the Mad Media team directed by Auteurs, Matt and Josh Martelli (The Martelli Brothers), captured using a variety of camera systems never before used in road racing including the Red Epic as using a 75-400mm T2.8 – T3.8 Fujifilm zoom lens.

mad media impact identity

MAD MEDIA CREATES NEW IDENTITY FOR IMPACT

A brand is a singular idea or concept that you own inside the mind of your customer. And your logo, is the first and most important impression your company makes. It is the visual representation of your brand. When we took on the challenge of reintroducing Impact as the premiere automotive safety brand, we started with the logo. We updated the look and feel and made it stronger, by developing a custom hand built font. We then paired it with a unique mark we dubbed “The Crossroads.” During this process we explored hundreds of variations in an effort to ensure we tested every possible shape, color, and meaning. The mark we created is a road junction that implies speed, power, and strength. It represents the moment when a driver has to make a critical decision that will decide his fate.
