The Grabowski Brothers Racing team returns to the desert this weekend at Vegas to Reno, the latest round on the 2019 Best in the Desert calendar. Coming off victories in both last year’s event and the Baja 500 earlier this year, the #5027 Subaru Crosstrek will carry the classic Subaru blue and yellow across more than 500 miles of the Nevada desert in Friday’s race.
Driver Dustin and navigator Cody Woodruff will reform the duo that took the win in last year’s Vegas to Reno event, completing the race in 10:53:21.245. After making their season debut at the BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400, the duo reunited for their first Baja 500 victory in June with a time of 16:04:53.393. It marked the second year in a row that the Grabowski team took a podium in the June SCORE International event.
The Grabowski Brothers Racing Subaru Crosstrek is powered by a 2.5-liter, normally aspirated Subaru Boxer engine that produces 300 horsepower. Built by Crawford Performance Inc, the engine has already powered the team to multiple Class 5 victories and podiums since debuting in 2017. The effort is part of Subaru Motorsports USA’s factory program, which includes rallycross efforts for Patrik Sandell, Chris Atkinson, and Scott Speed and stage rally entries for David Higgins, Travis Pastrana, and Oliver Solberg.
The Grabowski Brothers Racing Subaru Crosstrek is backed by Crawford Performance, BFGoodrich Tires, King Shocks, GG Lighting, Terrible Herbst, Herbst Smith Fabrication, Rally Sport Direct, McKeznies Performance Products, JE Pistons, ProAm Performance, Revlock Race Supplies, CBR Performance, and Weddle Industries.
